I guess this has probably been answered before but i cannot find it in the forum, so here goes.. I have just installed BOINC, and am only running the climatePrediction as my only project. I had the issue where it was crashing due to the library issue, which i solved with the 'opt' directory fix i found in the posts here, ....the only thing missing from making me happy is some kind of screensaver graphical model, .....i was under the impression i would have something like this available, but my screensaver says i am running a BOINC app that does not have a graphical whatevermyjig. Is this the case with macs, or have i missed a vital piece of something somewhere, ......when i leave me computer i want it to have something pretty on the screen, and as i have viewed posts about control of such a thing i know this is possible, ...what have i done wrong, or not done at all. -mog ---------------------------------------- G5 Dual 2Ghz, 2gigRAM. Screen savers take up cpu time, so the usual recommendation is to set Screen Saver to 'none' and just turn off the monitor. You can find a GUI version of BOINC with a graphical display here. If you're already using one of these, you may have another problem, such as how it was setup. If you have a GUI version, can you see the display? (Click on the model name in the Work tab, and select Display.) Les |
