When I select different colors or rotation options, or try to select temperature or precipitation, my client is not updated. Clue? One of my Favorite Quotes: "We are all atheists about most of the hundreds of thousands of gods humans have ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further." Richard Dawkins |

The client must connect to the server to get the new preferences. Also some preferences require a restart of the model, client or computer before they actually take effect. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

The client must connect to the server to get the new preferences. Also some preferences require a restart of the model, client or computer before they actually take effect. I\'m just stuck on the resource pref: one way and another I ended up with einstein, seti and climate all at 300, and it offended my sense of orderliness or something, becos when I was changing some other prefs, I changed all 3 of them back to 100 and lo and behold einstein and Seti changed to 100 within a day or two, but after a couple of weeks and wearing the print off my update key climate bumbles on at a sedate 300 still, and no amounts of entreaty, grovelling, key punching, threats and physical abuse will induce that bloody 300 to drop down to 100. I\'ve rebooted ad nauseam, read large tracts of geographical handbooks to it, and even upgraded the boiler to welsh steam coal, but to no avail. Any hints? |

I changed the resource share and it changed with one update. The only thing I can think of is that you have seperate venue preferences and you changed one on the wrong venue. Thank you so much for your very prompt answer - but would that it were something that simple. I\'m so fed up that I just changed Seti and Albert back to 300 to equal the unchangeable 300 that Climate has, pressed update, and within a hyposubmicronanopicosecond or so everything was back at a resource setting of 300, and sharing equal 33.33% resources. I also take that to mean that I have got the practical process completely right, and am not missing anything, as all 3 physical processes should be the same: Or do you know different???? |
