Message 27330 - Posted: 15 Mar 2007, 1:02:52 UTC - in response to Message 27329.

Yes I\'m quite sure LogPile - and welcome to this forum, always good to see old friends in these somewhat scary new places! This one\'s awfully quiet this week though.

Is the avatar your family crest, or did you just choose it because \"better late ...\"? ;-)

Best regards,

Family crest. Relations go back to the Isle of Lewis until they were evicted by rich landowners who valued sheep and profit more than the indiginous occupants. Funnily enough I seem to live up to the motto by default rather than choice, something in the genes!

Hmm well actually the motto would fit me quite well too and my parents came from the Isle of Harris - must be something in the island blood!

Well, we can\'t tell if LogPile\'s still here or not (which I was just saying to him elsewhere is one of the disadvantages of this type of forum!), but I can tell you Haraldo it means \"late but in earnest\".

Hi Guys sorry I missed you but went to bed.

\"I live up to it!\"re motto I find it easier to be logged in automatically and visually I find it much easier to read without all the frills.

You can choose to be logged in automatically in the php boards too though, LogPile.

Wot, no fireworks!

Never the more fireworks the better

I think it is the colour scheme or font that I have difficulty with on the other board that it becomes painful to read.

Hi folks
Funny set of instructions here beside the box for posting - certainly makes me feel kid-like - just love the bossiness of it all. Only kidding!!! Honest. What does hijacking mean - perhaps I am doing that with this post - oops

Hello Sue, hijacking a thread is much like hijacking an aeroplane - you (only of course you wouldn\'t, nor I, at least not intentionally!) take control of it with a view to steering it somewhere it was never intended to go! But you\'re certainly not hijacking this thread, since it was started by Haraldo looking for his Greenie colleagues. I just dropped by to keep him company because you folks didn\'t seem to be around at the time. ;-)

Nice one, LogPile - there was some discussion of nuclear armaments over there and I must say I was tempted to suggest I could think of an appropriate target - grrr! ;-)

Well, here I am folks. Just finished my last Beeb model, updated Boinc and got myself a shiny new one from CPDN :)

My graphics window still has the BBC logo(?).

Hi Andy, it\'s normal for the graphics window still to have the BBC logo, apparently! Only the scrolling message is slightly different. The BOINC Manager window\'s not exactly the same though - I think the website links are more clearly labelled and explained, particularly the one that says \"News\"!

Hi Chrissy, good to see you!
