Wow, I only just realised when the stats box appeared in my signature that team Scotland has now passed
40,000,000 credits in BOINC overall!!!! Well done everyone!

Just to point out that 90% of Scotland\'s BOINC credits have been generated from
Climate projects - i.e. CPDN, BBC Experiment and Seasonal Attribution (SAP).
The CPDN total, of course, also includes Beta testing plus original Spinup and Classic models.

You can see a summary here showing a final total of 36 million credits from all climate projects
and that now includes over 25 million CPDN.

Not bad for a relatively small team ;-)

Cheers, Ian

Thanks, Strathpeffer. There\'s no doubt that, like many other crunchers I\'m sure, I wouldn\'t have got this far without the support of the message boards and also the colleagues in the team I chose to join. All the help and advice is crucial to getting round issues.

Thanks, Lockleys - Scotland is indeed a friendly, helpful, fun team as well as being successful ;-)

According to Iansm\'s wonderful team stats, no more 160-year models are due to complete for a month or so, when 2 of his own are currently predicted to finish. Meantime, however, as can be seen from this page of the team stats, Ian himself has now completed 200 climate models in total, counting all the different types! So well done to him. ;-) I\'ll maybe post some fireworks for him if I can find them - it\'s a while since I did that!

[Edit: here they are!]

Thank you, Margaret.

Feel I cheated a bit completing 12 of the quick wee models over past 3 weeks to reach that number.
Iain Inglis will also hit that mark in a few days time. Must agree with Lockleys about team spirit!

Cheers, Ian

Talister has now become the third team Scotland member to complete more than 200 climate models, counting all the different types - well done to him!

The team as a whole has now completed more than 1,500 climate models, counting BBC, SAP and various lengths of CPDN model - well done everybody! ;-)

Oops, wasn't paying attention and missed the moment when Rory passed 1,000,000 credits in BOINC overall - sorry Rory! All his credits are in climate projects, first BBC and then CPDN - quite a contribution to climate science, well done!

Hi Strathpeffer

Everyone can completely delete their own posts for an hour after posting. Edit your post and delete all the content. Post it again.

This forum has been very, very slow at times recently. This has caused both doubleposts and failures to post and edit. Milo does know. I think it's caused by other programs running at certain times on the same server.

Thanks, Mo, I didn't realise that was how it worked, I'll know next time! Yes, it was me being impatient and hitting the button a second time when it didn't respond immediately, sorreeee!

We have a new team member, when I wasn't paying attention yesterday (sorry, we had a visit from Prince Charles and his good lady wife, which as you might imagine was somewhat distracting - they were both absolutely charming and won everyone's hearts, by the way) - anyway, when I wasn't paying attention, we seem to have acquired a new team Scotland member and I think it's Kevin. Welcome to the team, thank you for joining us and adding your credits, and we hope to meet you soon in one of the forums ;-)
