uploader1.atm will be down for a while for backups.
I\'ll post an item in News and Announcements about it.

Last news from yesterday 14-Jan early AM are:
\"Uploader1 is still down as the promised hardware upgrade wasn\'t done yesterday. If it is done today instead then I can get on with configuring it and it should be up again tomorrow.\"

Tomorrow meaning today.

We should know more soon, since it\'s mid afternoon.

The server has its new RAID array and has had an OS upgrade, but there are problems with the array that mean it can\'t come back on line yet. This is supposed to have been worked on this afternoon and I\'ll hopefully find out more tomorrow.
As it\'s in a different department where I don\'t have machine room access I have to depend on the sysadmin there to deal with it.

...........
Offer \'em a 12-pack, It\'ll be fixed within the hour.
In days long gone this would always get my mainframe batch jobs through much faster at month-end.

In days long gone, the new system would have been running in parallel with the old system under test and then switched over and hardly anyone would notice.

the server still isn\'t online.
i\'ve e project to upload and it still doesn\'t work, because the message says:
Temporarily failed upload of ........zip: connect() failed
Backing off 1hr 47 min 3 sec on upload of.......
Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
Timestamp: 08:49pm GMT +1

Gives a time estimate, what time the server again online?

That would be ideal, if only the hardware and staff time were available.
I\'ve had no luck contacting the fellow this morning and will try again after lunch.

Charmeur, keep your BOINC network activity suspended as much as possible to reduce the number of failed zip file upload attempts.

OK, it looks like the hardware\'s fixed, but it will take some time to re-install the OS and setup the upload server code. If not uploading this evening then it should be tomorrow.
