As per http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=5447&nowrap=true#43776 I am stacking up a growing number of uploads for this model. I look forward to hearing that the problem has been fixed. :) Thanks Guys |

Any idea when uploader1.atm will be back on line? I have 5 Hadam3p_eu zip files stuck in the transfer tab waiting to upload. I have suspended that WU (and am running a hadam3p_pwn in its place) so that it wont finish until I can upload the results. |

Any idea when uploader1.atm will be back on line? We've got this "a.s.a.p." from Jonathan. [Edit: Oops, Jonathan not Andy.] |

Server status page shows it back up but nothing going through from here - time will tell if there are still problems or it is just the congestion of all those zip files trying to get in at once. |

I guess server overloaded - one of the three I had in the queue has gone through now. |

Wishful thinking - has been down and up again. Well Jonathan did say it was intermittent lol. |

My uploads have now nearly all cleared, both stopped (EU) and queued (PNW). |

My last one is currently going through. I noticed two other servers have had brief periods of being down today but I haven't noticed any effects from that. |

EU models download doesn't do much either, HTTP connect error - could this be an IP change again? |

EU models download doesn't do much either, HTTP connect error - could this be an IP change again? PNW models aren't doing any better. I have one stuck in the transfer tab since yesterday. At least the 3 of the 6 EU zip files that have been stuck for the last several days have uploaded. |

In the meantime the downloads went through, the server or the connection is just sluggish. |

I suspended network activity when I spotted the backlog. anyway all now cleared and up to date - it was all rather slow and stop/start, let's hope all the trickles and the one finished wu reporting all got assimilated properly. |

Yes I am back to normal at the server end and that's great news. The only problem I have since had is a blue screen of death on my Windows 7 desktop...ouch. The models weren't best pleased and they all finished and went home...:( Anyway hopefully everything is now back on track again :) Cheers |

Yep Uploader1.atm is showing as down on server status page. I guess that as there has been no announcement to say it is fixed since the one saying there was an intermittent fault on the server that it is still true and that once fixed there will be a further announcement. Dave |

I've noticed that it works on the weekdays but then goes down again on weekends, for the past few weeks. I guess the fixes so far have only been temporary, since it dies whenever no-ones around to fix it :( |

That server needs to be manually rebooted each time it fails. The IT person for that part of Oxford isn't around on the weekends. Testing was being done a week or two back to try to find the cause of the failures, but I don't know the results of these. Backups: Here |

That server needs to be manually rebooted each time it fails. Thanks for the update! I've noticed some people here suspend the EU models when the uploads have trouble, does anyone know if any bad things could happen if the model is allowed to complete while there are pending trickles? I use the BOINC version 6.10.58. I ask because I suspended my models too (they are almost completed) but the client is not requesting any new models to run in its place. |

Trickles aren't a problem, it's the zips. There's a problem with completing a model which can't upload, but this only applies for people who run multiple projects. Then ALL uploads get stuck in the upload queue, due to a problem with BOINC, which causes the first couple of WUs in the queue to constantly try to upload, and everything else doesn't even attempt to try. This can be fixed with a cc_config option. There's a post about this here. If any work units for a given project are Suspended, then BOINC won't attempt to download any more work for that project.
