I have been trying to upload six files for days but keep getting this message in the event log:

"28/09/2012 4:28:19 AM | climateprediction.net | [error] Error reported by file upload server: Server is out of disk space"

Is anyone looking into this problem? News needs to be updated more frequently.

Hi, Gary Bouskill: I cannot answer your question but would add that I have the same situation. I think you will agree that these are the large zip files produced by the HADAM3P_?? application? This has happened before and has always been remedied by patience. I have completed 2 work units and have 24 each of 13+MB zip files to upload with 2 more work units in progress. I shall complete the work and then turn my attention to another project for a while - at the same time giving CPDN a chance to upload and no harm done provided that MY hdd holds up. I might suggest backing up these rather immense ZIP files. There are instructions somewhere on how to back up CPDN work. And thank you for the reassurance of a shared problem.

The news thread, here, reports the uploading problems (and a subsequent network outage). You may assume that if a news post says that the project team will be informed of the situation then they do indeed know about it and are working on a fix. When that fix has been done then there will be another news post.

Wow! I only have six waiting. With only a 2.0 GHz desktop and a 1.2 GHz machines processing is slow even running them 20 hrs. a day.

I'm using a dial-up line most of the time because my broadband is limited for data transmission so it's a bit of a pain to keep dialing in but they upload eventually. Meanwhile I'll justb keep the other projects running.

Thanks for the reply.

Gary Bouskill: You're welcome! Forums make me very nervous but I was so glad to discover someone else with this situation that I had to post. Interestingly enough: I subsequently deselected the Europe zone and selected the South Africa zone (the same application) and got very speedy results! Could have been a coincidence. My Europe zone files are still trying to upload. I'm pondering whether the Europe zone zip files are needed??

Gary Bouskill: Addendum! The files ARE moving. There are only 16 of the aforementioned 24 zip files remaining. All is well indeed. Bless my Soul! I can't imagine what it must be like with dial-up! Probably about the same. When 'we' say "trickle up" we MEAN trickle up! :^) Keep a good thought.
