I've got 7.0.60 now running on two machines:

1. One (ID 1175567) is processing 2 work-units which were downloaded previously on version 7.0.55 -- no problems yet with processing proceeding normally but it will be many days before these units are completed.

2. The other (ID 1276981) has no work currently...due to no CPDN work-units available. No downloads have been attempted.

3. My main machine (ID 1266353) is currently processing six work-units but is still running on 7.0.28 (downgraded from 7.0.55 last week after the communication problems were identified).

I installed 7.0.60 on 3 machines 03 Apr about 1245 UTC.

I have successfully downloaded two tasks so far on one of the machines. I don't know how to determine if it "new work" or "old work".

So far, so good.

Giving us a link to the host / tasks / workunits in question would be a start :)

WU 8489795 created 28 Mar 2013
WU 8479336 created 12 Mar 2013
WU 8423936 created 23 Dec 2012

All look like "old work" to me: that's looking good for the fix in BOINC v7.0.60, but of course it would be better to have some new work and get the project back into full operation.

Have only managed getting assigned one model since upgraded to v7.0.60, but atleast no download-errors this time. Wu is from December and is wherefore old.

Since have done another scheduler-request after getting the new model, can't check if the scheduler-reply included white space as part of the md5.

I got a batch of the 'new' AM3P_EU today, like WU 8498612. They seem to have MD5 tags without the extra white space, and downloaded cleanly under BOINC v7.0.60 - started running, even.

I got an AM3P_SAF WU overnight and it downloaded cleanly and is running on my new machine.

Jim, have all your computers got 7.0.28? For this testing Richard needs people to get 7.0.60 which is the new alpha version where Rom Walton at BOINC thinks he's solved the MD5 checksum mismatch problem. Rom needs to know whether CPDN models really do download properly with his new fix in 7.0.60.

Got atleast one old wu including white-space as part of the MD5 and v7.0.60 didn't give any MD5-errors, so looks like the fix works as it should.

While there wasn't any MD5-errors, the wu did still error-out, but this was due to one of the files missing from server. Copying the link to the web-browser also gave 404 Not Found, so this isn't a client-problem.

Your WU that failed to download was issued 18 April 2012, so an old (not wanted) model for which most of the files are no longer on the server.

Just successfully downloaded two work-units on computer ID 1276981 running 7.0.60
These are the two work-units:

http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8495048
http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8495049

These units do not show that they have been downloaded previously. I'm assuming they are "new"....can you verify?

Yes, both of those are from the new batch of 5 April.
You can also tell by the last digit in the model's name - the initial download shows a zero here.

I have downloaded the following 5 Workunits (in addition to the 3 reported earlier in this thread). The Creation Date is shown

http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8499479 05 Apr
http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8495766 05 Apr
http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8495757 05 Apr
http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8494674 05 Apr
http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=8494227 05 Apr

The no. 4 was for a Linux machine using 7.0.28, so that is not of interest here. The other four were using Windows XP using Boinc 7.0.60

The No. 1 received a Computational Error early on but the download was successful. Nos. 2, 3, 5 are running.

I would conclude 7.0.60 downloads "new work" successfully.

I have upgraded to BOINC 7.0.60 and successfully downloaded 3 models today. They are
hadam3p_eu_qc9v_1999_1_008341696_0
hadam3p_eu_qc9s_2007_1_008341693_0
hadam3p_eu_qch2_2004_1_008341955_1

All 3 appear to be running successfully.

WB -- I noticed you still have one computer (ID = 12325), running 7.0.58...

Art - I am not running CPDN on that computer (12325) right now. I have 11 computers running BOINC projects and I am always trying to decide is it better to keep them at the same update level for consistency or just update those that have to be updated.
