Does the 'Reset' suggestion in the message file information mean "Abort this WU and download another WU'. Or is there a 'reset' function in the BOINC desktop?

In the Boinc �Projects� tab, on the side bar fourth down, there is a reset button. To use it highlight climateprediction and then press the button. Be advised this will wipe out all CPDN WU�s on your machine (both running and �ready to start�) and redownload all the program files for this project.

Mike: it looks like a known BOINC Manager version problem. The PNW model your PC is trying to run was compiled with a faulty version of the BOINC API, which will crash the model with some BOINC Manager versions on Windows. here's one I trashed earlier: hadam3p_pnw_v18o_2004_1_008887048_2 - look at the Stderr log and compare it with models on your machine that have already crashed (e.g. hadam3p_pnw_uhcy_1989_1_008889098_1).

Absent of the project recompiling the PNW application, we users can work around the problem either by:

1. Excluding PNW from the list of allowed applications.

2. Re-installing BOINC but not selecting the "service" install (which is what I did); note that two installation choices define "service" - the explicit "install as service" and the implicit "for all users" options.
