Hi everyone, Though the upload server status is indicating a green status, I found that while trying to ping the server, it came back unreachable. Boinc is trying to upload in vain finished jobs. Friendly Greetings, Kristof. |

Hi, Kristof, Welcome to the boards. I have the same problem. A message was sent to Jonathan at Oxford but, given that current time in England after normal quitting-time, we'll have to live with the problem for awhile. I have seen that this has been noticed by another user and reported to the project people. |

Kristof, Faster fix than I anticipated. My waiting .zip files began uploading about Midnight (GMT). Yours too? Request: This thread is an operational, not science, issue. We prefer that operational problems appear in "Number Crunching" or under one to the "Platform-specific" topics. Thanks. By the way, your machine is impressive. Hi AstroWX, Thanks for the feedback - sorry for the late reply, I forgot to check back... In any case, it's working fine now, crunching away since a couple of weeks again ! Regarding your request, I'll observe more caution and post in the right forum subject. Thanks ! I initially wanted to dedicate it to MS Flight Sim, but thought that ultimately, it would be a waste of money to have it stand there doing nothing for 75 % or more of the time. And since the BOINC community offers a great way of participating in projects trying to do something good for this planet (& people), I'm glad I can make a small contribution for a better world. (proving Mr. Smith wrong somehow that humanity is nothing but a virus ;-) ) In any case, your excellent work seems to pay off with the Chinese now thinking of peaking already in 2025 rather than 2030 or beyond ! |
