Except for the stats stuff. Again.

Well, there's a day and a half before anything can get done, so I'll wait and see tomorrow if that's changed, before sending an email.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and is aware that this project could be slow in updating the credits.

I would like to know if it is normal that my credits on FreeDC and BONIC stats page are still showing outdated credits, do they take longer to update the latest value?

Hi Denon

No, They should have been updated a few times since the last lot.
That's what my post just before yours is about.

Still a bit early for an email, but it looks like nothing more is going to be run, so soon.

I asked about this at the end of last month, and it was going to be looked at.
I asked again early yesterday, UK time. Nothing back yet.

Just noticed an anomaly with last credit run.
RAC for my group of 7 hosts nearly doubled relative to previous credit run.
No changes to any hosts hardware. Checked on run-times for recently completed wu, no changes to speak of over last month.
Ideas?

Certainly not universal -RAC for me dropped on two of my machines, one not surprisingly as it hasn't been crunching!

For hosts running WAH2 in its 13-month or 24-month guise then an extra one or twelve trickles appeared on June 3rd for which extra credits are due. It could be that.

I've been thinking it might be on account of running more of the wah2_pnw versus the mostly eu25?

Seems strange to me -- maybe the "credits_per_wu" changed? Seems unlikely.

Also, I looked at the "top participants" page (for the first time in years), and I'm the top -- which seems unlikely, and means to me that something is out of whack. And that whatever the anomaly is, somehow it is not, Dave, "universal" as you said.

Puzzeled.

Noticed that there are some "database errors" on the top participants pages. Is there a bug?

I'm seeing this too, but not for all WUs. So new trickles were added above the timestep 138,539 on some of the already finished WAH2 workunits.

Total credits are up to date on the Climateprediction.net certificate but not on the overall BOINC certificate. They have not updated for a month. Why is that?

Les kept staff appraised of the credit situation, so Oxford folks are aware. All we can say is to assure you that credit issues are always sorted out -- eventually. There are database changes in progress and support staff addresses things like credit generation (a very expensive process because CPDN does not use the boinc standard) and credit transfer when they are able to do so.

Another weekly credit update, the 'anomaly' becomes clear. D'oh.
The wah2_eu25 take longer to run, but get credit for 13 trickles.
The wah2_pnw50 run faster, and get credit for 24 trickles.
My hosts that randomly got more of the pnw models got near double the credit for less cpu time.
Seems clear to me now. No worries. :)
Keep on crunching. Che sera, sera.
