Ever since the "upgrade" in your computing, my statistics have shown a flat line and no increase in credit...even after completion of several runs...I am now running 2 10 day runs...am tempted to delete Climate Prediction to use for projects that at least acknowledge them using my computer.

The Credit Script hasn't run since I think last May due to the Server meltdown.

Hi Paulie

Suggest you hang on for a couple more weeks. The credit runs have always caught up in the past. Hopefully Les or Dave Jackson can get an update on the status.

My post under, "credit system" gives the latest I have on this. Andy Knows the steps he needs to resolve things and is working on it. If I had a clue about what the steps were, I might be rash enough to give an estimated time scale for this. However at the moment this would be no better than pulling a number out of thin air.

Is any of that lost credit going to be restored? I lost half credit with over 30 tasks uploaded to a server that was dying. I can add up the credit from the tasks that actually show up and its more than what's on the account page. Bringing up a half dead site doesn't bring faith to its crunchers that this just won't happen again. :(

First off, Andy has to find reliable data for when the last credits were created.
Then he has to try and work out a way to "fill in the missing pieces".

He thinks that he has it sorted now, and it's just the long hard slog of actually doing it.

But there's bound to be outraged screaming from credit junkies, no matter what.
There always is.

The really GOOD news, is that a new full time backup server will soon be available.

I'm noticing the same problem as all my completed WUs still don't have credit. They were completed weeks ago, so are well past the weekly script run for updating credit. Somehow your script has missed these...

This represents 100% of completed weather@home WUs, not sure why these are falling through the cracks there...

Thanks, so they're on it then. Just thought I'd give a note, along with the specific WUs in question, as it's been about half a month so was seeming really off from when I checked a couple weeks ago or so...

The zips that are used for the actual science will have gone to the universities doing the research. Very little if any actual science has been lost.

Completed 2 10 day runs a few days ago --- still no updated credits for over 2 months … ? Time to call this a scam to use our computers and not receive credit?

I suggest you look at previous posts in both this thread and the credit status thread :-(((

Les has contacted Andy again with regards to this the email list and received the following reply.

Hi Les,

Could you please reassure them that this is still a live issue. With the complete system re-build there has been a lot of work to re-build all the servers and all the services. Most recently I have been working on the re-construction of the new backup project server, which is the re-constitution of the master-slave database system. Credit is high on the list of items to be worked on.

Best regards,

Andy

Reading between the lines, I guess the decision was that getting a reliable backup system in place for the long term was needed before sorting out the credits otherwise if things go belly up, credits could be sorted and then all lost again.

Given yesterdays brief outage was part of setting up the new slave database, I am hopeful that it will not be long before the work on credits can progress.

As noted in another thread, the credit script has been running and exporting to BOINCSTATS. However there is a problem with the SQL script which it presumably calls on. Andy is working on this. I think from memory it was Friday he replied to a query on this from one of the moderators.

The longer the wait, the bigger the jump in credit will be when the problems are resolved. :)

It looks like there was a credit update for the work done since the project came back up? Just the new work it seems. Does that fit with others estimates?

Some tasks returned while the server was up and down in March seem to have been lost.

Looks that way.

I have approximately 30 tasks missing from my task list (which may or may not have been lost), and another 10 tasks which were returned earlier, for which credit was not received.

One can only hope...
