BOINC froze up on my PC, and I have been unable to get it to restart CPDN. It will download all the executables, then at 97% completion of the last download, it locks up the BOINC gui and the climate model, although both appear to be taking up processor cycles. I reinstalled BOINC from scratch (after deleting the folder and all files) and still, the problem occurs. I\'m running BOINC version 4.09 on Windows XP SP2 |

I had the same problem and also lost a model that was nearly one third complete. It's because of a known bug in BOINC 4.09 on multi processor machines. In addition you will find you have created a lot of zombie hosts in your computer list when you tried to get it to work. The only solution is to download Boinc 4.11 from Seti Alpha site which is what I've done. <br><a href='http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/team_display.php?teamid=132'><img src='http://www.racing-post.info/images/rplogosig.gif' border='0' height='60'></a> |

That was strange... I was able to download BOINC Alpha 4.11 at: http://setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu/boinc_alpha/ |

Okay, Prior to downloading Alpha 4.11, I went into my "General Preferences" on LHC, CPDN and SETI and told it to limit usage to 1 processor. I was able to successfully start analysing data for CPDN. The issue is, that this workaround only allows one analysis to run at a time. ThanX |

Afterall. 4.11 is not a release yet. <br><a href='http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/team_display.php?teamid=132'><img src='http://www.racing-post.info/images/rplogosig.gif' border='0' height='60'></a> |
