I had a WU that was eaten by a BOINC hang, and I restored an earlier backup of the WU to continue processing. All has been going well, (and transistioned to phase 2) but looking at the WU results, it's listed as over and done with a client error. (exit status -187)

Is this WU going to be valid if I run it to completion, or should I reset?

Hi Heffed,

Exit status -187 is a results upload error and the <i>Output file error: -1</i> in your stderr can only originate from the server when it detects a permanent upload failure. So there doesn't seem to be much point in continuing with the model to me.

Hi, I'm on vacation for the next two weeks -- but it should be alright, the uploading is separate from the server status, so you can have good uploads that have a bad error status. As long as the mega-trickle comes in (i.e. the final 3-phase plot is shown on your results page) then we should have everything OK regardless of what the "server outcome" field in BOINC says.
