every time my machine switches from seti to climateprediction, BOINC crashes with the following message:

hadsm3um_4.03_windows_intelx86.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

any ideas??

Hi Belle,

Make sure your preferences have <b>Leave applications in memory while preempted?</b> set to <b>yes</b> (the BOINC default is no).

Leaving CPDN in memory when it gets pre-empted will make sure BOINC doesn't swap it out in an unstable state (if other applications require the memory CPDN may get swapped out, but it's state will still be preserved for when it next runs).
