Setup Initialisation Error 432: \"unInstallShield\"

I got this error message once, and assumed it was because there were \"unfinished\" installs/uninstalls requiring a reboot, so I rebooted, but got the same error message again. After uncompressing some files and popping up the \"BOINC\" splash screen, I get a dialogue box with this message in it: Setup Initialization Error Setup has detected that unInstallShield is in use. Please close unInstallShield and restart setup. Error 432. Is it possible to get around this? I am trying to do this install on a new Windows XP PC which is my desktop computer. I am allowed to run this software, but I do not have administrator priviledges on the machine. Please advise. ID: 5479 · Reply Quote
