I already have BOINC working properly on my linux box, but I would like to have an OpenBSD server. I compiled BOINC 4.11 as per the instructions, and I connect it to the server, but I get the following messages:

How can I get it to do work?

Does this thread help in any way?

Not really... although I guess I could use linux emulation, I would prefer to use the native OpenBSD version I compiled (as the instructions said to do if I didn't run Linux, OS X, or Windows).

The CPDN software itself, not the BOINC software, is compiled with the Intel Linux Fortran compiler. The source code isn't available to recompile. I believe that is why you need to have Linux emulation. But someone can correct me if that's wrong.

Same problem as Akira here; running OpenBSD 3.6.
Can't get the Linux version to run either, it bails out instantly:
./boinc_4.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu
Abort trap
(ie, SIGABRT -- game over)

If climateprediction.net only supports GNU/Linux-x86, MacOSX and Winblows, why do they suggest we recompile BOINC for our platform?
It also tricked me into thinking this project was open-source, I feel like my time was wasted here...

That's odd; CPDN's client is proprietary software of the British Met. Office. Where did you find this trick?
