Hi, Is there a way to disable BOINC Network Access by default ? If you disable the network access, close the BOINC gui then restart it, network access is active again (by default). I\'m a dial-up user and I yet experiment that after an unrecoverable error, BOINC downloaded a new run without asking. So I\'d rather be sure that BOINC will not connect in the future without asking. Thanks, |

Yes, this issue has been around for a while. I'm surprised it isn't fixed yet... (They don't think much of us dial up users obviously) Anyway, check out <a href="http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=480">this post</a> on the S@H board. BattiqNet explains how to do it using the windows scripting host. |

Instead of WshShell.SendKeys "{F10}DD" , I use WshShell.SendKeys "{F10}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}~" and to hide, WshShell.SendKeys "{F10}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}~" Thanks a lot... |
