The only messages that I have been getting lately are:
Daily quota exceeded
What does this mean. If it is a local quota, shouldn\'t it reset each day?

It means that you have downloaded four WUs that day and all have failed. It should reset each day at midnight Oxford University Computing Lab time :)

Clearly there is something wrong. The first point is that I see you are registered as having two identical machines. I suspect that is not the case, but it is unlikely to be the cause of the problem. Nevertheless, you can delete one to make sure.

If you scroll up the messages window, you should have something saying that you downloaded a WU, and then an error message of some kind. If you copy and post the important bits here someone may be able to tell you what is happening. If you can't find any sign that you <i>have</i> downloaded any units today, try update (in the projects tab, rightclick CPDN).

Message 7877 - Posted: 28 Jan 2005, 6:29:56 UTC - in response to Message 5581.

I checked the messages like you said (my computer got restarted automatically because of windows updates), but there were only a few. It hasn't downloaded anything. It says it's requesting 17263 seconds of work, and then the Daily Quota Exceeded message.

BOINC is just sitting there, trying to get work, and then nothing.
Following is my messages in BOINC right after startup at 08:00 in the morning.

Hi Analysisman and welcome to the board.

You have had your 4 model for today (28th) see
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=91557

7 Results with exit status = -5

For that error see
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=1103

Since you cannot crunch today, you may want to try some stability test as CP is much more sensitive than anything else you are likely to run (except for stability tests). You may want to try memtest86 &amp;/or prime95 &amp;/or superpi.
