Some Problems with my iBook: \"Deferring communication with project for 5 dys etc....\" 1. What should I type into the terminal? 2. In which folder I have to be: 2a BOINC or 2b Boinc/projects/climaprediction.net ? 3. what else can be the reason? I am using the BOINC 4.05 Software. Thank you for your support, esquisse |

I have seen this same type of message - usually when I am not connected to the internet. When the CPDN tries to connect to the internet to report progress and you are not connected, it defers connection time for one minute. It then tries again, defers for two minutes, etc., with progressively longer deferral times. About the only solution I've been able to come up with is to calculate when it will next try to connect, and make sure I am connected to the internet at that time. Do you see anything like this in the terminal that would indicate it has connected to upload? 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032403 - 16/10/1812 01:30 - H:M:S=0028:17:07 AVG= 3.14 DLT= 7.28 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032404 - 16/10/1812 02:00 - H:M:S=0028:17:08 AVG= 3.14 DLT= 0.97 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032407 - 16/10/1812 03:30 - H:M:S=0028:17:12 AVG= 3.14 DLT= 1.23 2005-02-02 19:58:40 [climateprediction.net] Sending request to scheduler: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 2005-02-02 19:58:41 [climateprediction.net] Scheduler RPC to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032408 - 16/10/1812 04:00 - H:M:S=0028:17:25 AVG= 3.14 DLT=13.01 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032409 - 16/10/1812 04:30 - H:M:S=0028:17:26 AVG= 3.14 DLT= 0.98 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032412 - 16/10/1812 06:00 - H:M:S=0028:17:30 AVG= 3.14 DLT= 1.29 3gd9_100182802 - PH 1 TS 032413 - 16/10/1812 06:30 - H:M:S=0028:17:31 AVG= 3.14 DLT= 0.97 |
