Very new to BOINC. Running SUSE 9.1. Dual Athalon 2800s, 1G RAM. I started w/.5G drive in general prefs, but bumped to 4G when it complained. Now I\'m getting this problem, and have no idea how to fix it. Anyone got an idea?

Looks like a connection problem. If you are using a firewall or connecting
through a a proxy, take a look at the <a href='http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/quick_faq.php#d'>FAQ</a> page.
Otherwise, detach from the project entirely.

./boinc_4.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu -detach_project http://climateprediction.net/

then reattach with

./boinc_4.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu -attach_project http://climateprediction.net/
