I just installed BOINC on my laptop at work. After running for a few minutes, I re-boot and then check my project. It looks like it starts from the begining each time. Do I have to configure it to store my results and start from that point? Tnx Dean |

The client stores the results every 144 timesteps. This could take 5 to 15 minutes depending upon your computer. This behaviour cannot be changed, you just need to leave it running longer in order to see any progress. HTH |

You can view the timesteps by right clicking the running project in the Work window. More information available in the FAQs etc. Boinc doesn't handle windows shutdowns or crashes well (at least v4.05 doesn't) so it is best to suspend the work on the model then exit Boinc, then re-boot. Otherwise you may loos the work or crash the models initiating a download of a new dataset on startup. DaveN |
