i have trouble to upgrade from 4.09 to 4.13
i\'ve copied and extract the file
and then when i stop the 4.09 and tried to run 4.13
it say : another instance of boinc is running
even if close and start the linux session
i tried to put the file in another directory and
start it from here but still the same
these with deleting lockfile but nothing works
does anyone know how to upgrade ?

Maybe directory rights missing for the user that you use to run BOINC ?
