Am running the CLI version and am finding it impossible to determine computed position of model. Is it possible to return to GUI version, and if so, what are the implications? If answer is YES - is there a set of instructions to follow and where can they be found? |

If you run the CLI as a service : - net stop BOINC - boinc_cli -uninstall If you run it from the command line, use Ctrl+C to stop it, wait a few seconds and then just start boinc_gui in the same directory. There are plans to have GUI and core client separate so the GUI can access the state informations of the cmdline client. |

You'll probably also want to create a shortcut to boinc_gui.exe in your startup folder to ensure that BOINC starts up every time you log on. You could create the shortcut under the "All users" account, but if you're in the habit of having more than one user logged in all but the first will display a "Failed to cleanup the Windows Sockets Interface" BOINC GUI error message box. You can safely ignore it.
Join us here |

Alternatively, you can continue to use the CLI client as usual and just use BoincView to monitor progress on this (and any other) system (you have). |
