Hi, all, My BOINC installation on the brand-new computer just finished its first CP.net work unit (awwww, isn\'t it cute!) 481+ hours of CPU time. Not too shabby. But it ain\'t uploading the results. For the past three days I have heen getting the messages \"temporarily failed upload of [big-long-filename].zip\" \"backing off [some number of hours]\" Then, right on cue, a few hors later, it fails to upload again. The \"transfers\" tab of the BOINC client shows all five files in the work unit as 100% uploaded (the little yellow status bar is at 100%, anyway), but the status column indicates that the upload will be retried. A new CP.net work unit was successfully downloaded and is running, and the seti@home and LHC@home clients have both uploaded and downloaded several work units recently, so I doubt it\'s a connection problem on my end. Is there a problem with the CP servers? Is there a setting that needs to be changed? Do I need to sacrifice a goat? Thanks in advance! |

See this thread. BOINC is designed to cope with this sort of problem, and it doesn't interfere with processing of the next WU. |
