Hi, I was wondering whether a change in the Kernel (from 2.4.26 to 2.4.27 for example) and the necessary reboot for an otherwise 24/7 machine would disrupt the work on CP (BOINC client) in any way? TIA. Best Rolf |

If you shut down the client cleanly, you'll lose nothing. If you shut it down by forcibly killing it, you'll lose a few minutes' work (it saves at the start of every day --- and at the start of every month, as well, into a separate file, although I'm not quite sure why.) |
