i do not get a new WU for my PC

i was running on Boinc 4.09 and finished a WU
the result was uploaded successlully
but did not get a new WU, but a message that thre is
a new Boinc version 4.13
so i updated to 4.13, but still no new WU
resetting the projet and also detach and new attach did not fix the problem.
The log only shows the the request to scheduler and then scheduler succeeded

i'm running Win XP SP1 with Boinc 4.13

You're still running 4.09?

Or with the update 4.13 to 4.19?
Or with the update 4.19 to 4.24?

I'm new to this BOINC stuff, but have downloaded the 4.24 windows client. I've subscibed to all the BOINC programs, but the only one that does any downloading or actual computations is the Einstein project. I know Seti is having power problems and at LHC I'm not able to create an account for some reason. Is this all just 4.24 related problems or what? At first I was getting a lot of checksum, signature, and unrecoverable errors, now it seems to get no work from project and no schedulers responded for errors. Are these projects new enough to not have any work? Guess I'm just wondering if I've got a bad install or something is wrong on the server end. Thanks.

Version 4.24 was not a good choice, because it is development software and does not work with CPDN - I don't know whether there are problems with other projects.

It might be best to uninstall and get the current public release, which is 4.19.

There is lots of advice on using BOINC <a href="http://boinc-doc.net/index.php">here</a>.

It's soon to become the official release, and if CPDN has probs with it, they should hurry .
I had no probs with DL my new WU 2 days ago for my 4.22 (I do not install all the late stuff, unless some serious bug is detected).

<b>And to Scott:</b>

Seti is the victim of crappy power supply installation (2 outages in just 1 week).
LHC has a policy of slowly widening their crunchers base. They are up again for the 6000 beta-testers, but not for newbies (like me :(( ).
ATM Einstein, Predictor and CPDN are running fine with me.

This may be a good time to ask a question I had for a long time (Sänger): where do you specify a forum avatar? I've never seen a place to upload or specify an avatar. (Sorry OT)

<a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/edit_forum_preferences_form.php">Here!</a>

But it has to fit this standard:

Thanks! Unfortunately my standard avatar is 62x62 and 7KB, so I will remain avatar-less in this forum.
