Hi
I seemed to finish my work unit on the 21st November. Progress reached 100% and I thought the unit would transfer over night and download another. However, instead of doing this the client returned to the begining of the WU and started again. I have now been processing the unit (3fi9_100181675_0) for over 400 hours, and it predicts that it will take over 2 thousand hours(!) to complete. This number is climbing.
I am contacting the scheduler automatically as normal, and all appears ok on the network.
Short of re-setting the project, which I don't want to do, is there any way of killing this WU so I can download another and get on with things again?

Resetting the project is precisely the correct thing to do to force BOINC to dump this model and start a new one - so I don't follow why you don't want to do that..?

BTW: That work unit / model didn't actually complete the full 45 year run - it must have thrown an error at 72.2% looking at it's last trickle. (BOINC also shows 100% completed when a WU throws an error.)

Thanks Nick!
I thought Resetting the project was a Doomsday option that would dump all my credits, profile, etc. in the nearest bog bot for scrapping....one lives and learns
