i have no idea what im doing!!!
i cant seem to get the little globey thingie going-does it come up by itself or do i hav 2 do sumthing?
and i dont even know what boinc is... or what to do with it. could sum 1 please walk me through the steps to getting it up and running properly?!? and i would like to know what to do with it once i get it working please.

Hi Paige,

You should find a lot of what you're looking for in the <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2388">getting started FAQ</a>.

Once you've got BOINC running you can view the globe at any time by opening up the BOINC interface (double click on the <b><i>B</i></b> icon in the system tray), left click on the work tab, right click on the workunit and selecting the graphics option. Bear in mind that, depending on your graphics card, displaying the graphics might use a lot of processing power, and the same thing goes for the BOINC screensaver.
