My first two runs complete in Windozw I can't get it running in my prefered OS.

I have downloaded it, created the dir, unzipped it, chmoded it to have root permissions. When I run it it wants a URL and then my ID. Having tried several times with the correct ID it bombs out with, "Please check your account ID and try again".

I am not going back to Windoze as a matter of principle so any ideas how to get it going in linux. I just knew it would be trouble.

What URL did you provide? There have been some problems with the climateprediction.net site. I thought it was fixed, but it may be affecting you.

Try attaching with the URL set to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc instead of http://climateprediction.net

Thanks I tried again first thing this morning, it does not want to know, I will try later after reading the instructions again.

Before completion of the last two projects Windows XP was returning a "BOINC GUI ERROR" but this had no apparent ill effect.

Thanks for the help, in the end it was a red face job, trouble reading my handwriting. Put the correct ID in and it's up and running. Apologies.
