I have completed a work unit and I cannot upload the 5 .zip files. It has been trying for over two days now. Plus every day I get this message when my files try to connect. climateprediction.net - 2004-12-08 12:43:58 - Deferring communication with project for 1 weeks, 5 days, 8 hours, 12 minutes, and 41 seconds Any solutions? <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=870&prj=4" /> |

Hi Geoff, Sounds like your WU is attempting to upload to http://climateprediction.net which is currently offline after being compromised by a phpBB exploit at the weekend. You should be able to confirm this by looking for the 3164_000162910_0 result file names in client_state.xml. The url settings in the file_info sections identify the upload server you're using. Unfortunately there's no way you can force upload to one of the other servers. It's just a case of being patient until the server comes back up or the project team set up a redirect (like they did when http://phkup21.unibe.ch was down for a prolonged period a few weeks ago). The (upload) server seems to be up. Check your network connections again. and/or firewall. make sure at the very least the core client can communicate with the scheduling server. (which is also up) If this fails, then delete the existing master.html file in the BOINC root directory.and then update again. |

The 5th zip file uploaded about 2 days ago. I have disabled my firewalls because they interfear with my engineering software. I have beeen able to communicate with the scheduling server because my trickles are updating. Geoff <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=870&prj=4" /> |
