Your account number isn't being recognised, Jim. Make sure that you use the account number sent in your CPDN registration confimation email rather than the SETI one. Also (if you're pasting the account number) make sure that you don't include any leading or trailing white space. Also (if you're pasting the > account number) make sure that you don't include any leading or trailing white > space. > While this may be a problem, it will most likely go away once the other problem is fixed (being able to write the state file). If it does turn out to be a real problem make sure you have no spaces at the begining and end of the URL and authenticator. The easy check on the state file problem is are you running BOINCview or some other monitor program. Some of these type programs keep the state file open so BOINC can't use it. In this case the problem should be intermittant and a minor concern. In this case see Thyme's answer and my suppliment. If that is not the case we have to look deeper. It may be a permissions issue. This is especially likely if you installed or run BOINC with a non-administrator account. If you are running as a service the 4.13 and lower service installer uses underprivledged accounts. Changing the permissions on the BOINC folder or changing the account the service uses should help. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |
