With the newest work unit, I continue to receive the following error, which is hanging BOINC and stopping me from doing any work on this project or any others.

The error hangs the screensaver.

I am considering detaching from climateprediction until this issue is resolved. Again, it is just with the current work unit, everything had been working fine until this unit. I am running Windows XP Pro.

Thanks,
Dave

The problem has been seen before, for example:

Both AMD processors but that really doesn't tell us much yours is FX53 vs XP1700. Some people with AMD processors are reporting problems and others are not.

1 success from 12 models is not brilliant. Any thoughts on trying the classic model (no BOINC credits). I hate to suggest an alternative BOINC project. CP does seem more sensitive than most programs, have you tested stability with something like prime95?
