If you are running the usual Windows version, with a blue disk with yellow B in it in the taskbar, and not as a service, then you should open the BOINC window (double click on the BOINC icon or right click and select). Then go to 'File' and choose 'suspend', then 'exit' to close the BOINC program completely. For safety, make a copy of the whole BOINC folder and store it in a separate folder as backup.

Go to the model download page on this site (see menu on left) and download the program. Run the installation in the usual way, making sure that you install it in the same place as the original folder. If you want to change where BOINC is kept (eg because you have more space on another drive), move the original BOINC folder first.

You should be able to launch the BOINC program in the usual way, and the model should carry on where it left off. If it all goes wrong, don't panic. Delete the BOINC folder and copy from your backup copy to the correct location, and try installing again.
