Uploading of 5 BOINC results files 25d3_100121282_1_x.zip where x=1,2,3,4,5 is 100% according to Transfers tab, but status on all is 'Retry in hh:mm:ss' (various values up to 2 hours). When each time expires, get Messages: 'Started upload of ' then 'Temporarily failed upload of ' and finally 'Backing off hh hours, mm minutes, and ss seconds on transfer of file '. This has been going on for several days now whilst I have been away. Have these files in fact been received successfully by you? Can I send them manually if not? Can I reset my model to load new data if results already received by you? Please respond to chris@forgetrack.co.uk - Chris Loxley-Ford |

There is a bit of a bug with the display showing 100% complete when the transfer hasn't started. I would be very suprised if the files had uploaded. BOINC will normally download a new model before uploading the last. Also it appears that you have not been trickling since 29 Dec. So it appears there is no communication for download new model, upload trickles or upload model. Were there any changes to firewall or anything else that might be preventing communication? Can you connect to internet then with the connection open use the update option (right click the project in the projects tab). Does this result in the same messages? As far as I know, there's been no firewall changes at my site, and though I do have computers not on this firewall, the only system that has finished a model is one behind the firewall. . . I'd be more inclined to believe a firewall issue if the communication never got started, but I could be wrong. As a side note, I've been using SETI@Home BOINC for almost a year now with no difficulties. Could there be a size limitation on outgoing file transfers through the firewall? I have checked and my system is uploading trickles. . . |
