I have had a couple of WUs like this now... This particular one was well into it's second stage... Maybe less than a week from the last part. Re-start the machine after an un-related Windows update just now to find this in the BOINC logs..

climateprediction.net - 2005-01-10 12:19:32 - Result 2uht_100154174_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file
climateprediction.net - 2005-01-10 12:19:32 - If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.
climateprediction.net - 2005-01-10 12:19:33 - Restarting result 2uht_100154174_0 using hadsm3 version 4.04

Can I complete this WU?

--Edit--
Seems to be crunching... For the moment anyways.

It should be fine. I think it happens when a file operation is interrupted - when doing things like updating Windows you can suspend BOINC for safety.

While you can complete the work unit, just know that you won't get credit for the duplicate trickles that occur until you reach that point in the 2nd phase where you were before.

The model trickled the end of phase 2 at 12:25 which I presume is after the question was asked, so I doubt that the model went back far if at all.

Ahhh, I didn't read the question very well. I thought he had one of those that restarted at the beginning of the model. Worked a midnight shift last night so you'll excuse my lack of alertness. ;-)
