We are due to publish our first results soon. Would anyone on the discussion forum be interested in talking to the media about the project? If so please send an email with your phone number, email address, country/state and name to Hannah Rowlands h [dot] rowlands [at] physics [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot]uk. We intend to make this information available to the media closer to the time, for a limited period of time only. |

I think Hannah got my contact details (before phpBB went down) because James Woodman of ITV News already contacted me. |

> As in like users or the developers? > The press like to have 'ordinary people' to photograph at their computers or just to have a one line quote from. It's easier for readers/viewers to identify with, supposedly! |

You can use these quotes from me (unfortunately I won't be available for a telephone interview). "I have be running climateprediction.net for just over a year, it is great to see the first scientific results." "I have completed 12 model runs and plan to keep running climateprediction.net on both my computers so that the models predicting climate change are as comprehensive and accurate as possible." "Its facinating to learn about climate science, its also so important for the future of the planet." "As a keen naturalist and birdwatcher I want to know whats in store for Britain's wildlife. Running climateprediction.net allows me to contribute to our knowledge of future climate stresses on wildlife." ____________________________
boinc forum and United Kindom team, my climate change blog. |

In particular, are there any participating Ozzies out there? Sylvia |

Ozzie doesn't participate any more now that Black Sabbath has disbanded. :) I'm sure there are some clones... Anyway, you're staff so you should be able to do a database query. I participate but am considered extremely interview-unfriendly. Both comments on the board and my employment record for the last 20 years bear this out. |

Hi, Sylvia, If you know of any definite media coverage before the event, could you post a list of when and where, beforehand? Thanks Marj _________________________________ |

But you're probably looking for something non-sarky, which leaves me out. |

If you are in the UK, the coverage has been hard to miss last night and this morning. Local radio today 4-5pm, Sky news 5pm and possibly later today as well. And the Sunday papers should be a good place to look too. Unfortunately we've not always managed to get the project name (or website) in ... Sylvia |
