This is a P4 3.02 HT machine. I have been running SETI and CLIMATEPREDICTOR both for several weeks now. It appeared that SETI used one processor and CPDN used the other with no problem. Now I have decided to remove SETI and run just CPDN. I have checked the general preferences very carefully but no matter what I do, CPDN uses only 50%. Can someone give me a clue?

I'm assuming you have in your General Preferences

On multiprocessors, use at most 2 processors

and that climateprediction.net is the only project in the Projects tab. Also that the Climateprediction.net Preferences show 100 for Resource Share, and Seti, if you still have preferences available for it, is at 0.

You might want to do an update of your project from the Projects tab.

Under projects, only climateprediction shows, it shows 100% under cpu.
Task manager shows hadsm3um_4.04_w at 50% amd system idle processes at 50%.

The only time I've seen that on mine was when I had

On multiprocessors, use at most 1 processors

under my General Preferences, while HT was still enabled. So I guess I've run out of ideas.

The other possibility is that your disk space or memory usage preferences are preventing you from downloading another WU. Disk space is the most likely (particularly as the host has 1MB memory), and each WU is going to need 700MB of disk space. Check this advice in the FAQ.

I had myself so confused I don't know what I did but i must have done something right by accident. This machine is now running 100% CPDN. Thanks for all the suggestions.
