If I allowed the use of to much of my CPU and or memory to be used in the experiment, can I make changes so that I am still able to enjoy an uninterupted computing experience?

Jim,

a strategy that has worked well for me is to adjust your preferences on your account here at CPDN so that your PC does not work on CPDN while you are using it.

Under "View or Edit General Preferences" set the following:

- Do work while Computer is in use = NO
- Leave applications in memory while preempted = YES

The effect is to pause CDPN while you use your machine but leave it in memory so that any work that has been completed in the last half hour or so is not lost. When you do not use your machine CPDN will resume after 3 minutes.
