I am a new user and cannot connect. BOINC is giving me the error that it cannot goe to the http://climateprediction.net url. I tried changing my proxy settings to those of my network but that didn't work either

Please help.

All network traffic is on port 80. i.e same as your web browser. Try using the same proxy setting as you do have for your default browser.
