I have 200GB of disk space in total (some used of course for OS and Software and data so approximately 120GB is free) unfortuneately for Climate prediction, the disks are partitioned into 40GB drives.

How do I get CP to work across two drives? I have recieved the message that I don't have enough resources for the available work.. so far anyway, despite buckets of capacity on the system.

BOINC can currently only use space on the drive it is installed on. You can move it to a new drive by uninstalling, then moving the directory structure, and then reinstalling to the new location.

If you are already running a model you can copy the full directory to the new location first, then proceed as John says. You soould then be able to carry on where you left off. Remember to close BOINC down before you start.

Well... Open the case and install the second drive as the slave on the primary IDE if you have a CD-ROM or similar device on the primary slave, move it to the secondary master.

fdisk and format the new drive. (should be D: presuming you are using Windows)

Get back into Windows and completely exit the BOINC GUI application. Then copy the BOINC directory to the final location on the new drive. Once you have done this, un-install BOINC from your system.

Once you have done this, instal BOINC to the location that you copied the directory to, ideally "D:\Program Files\BOINC" where D: is your newly installed drive. There you go... Job Done!!
