I heard about you folks on the CBC the other day... Good idea, but still not very accessable to non-geeks. I browsed through the board and most of you are very techno-savvy. I am no stranger to these computers, but I don't have the will to troubleshoot a non-working donate-my-pc program.

My client gives me error messages about sockets and passwords on my screensaver which suggest that it's not doing squat, though the messages tab shows me way more info than I want or need. I'm not sure if I accomplished anything in the few days I've been running the thing. Maybe I have, maybe not.

So basically I'm outta here, and I just wanted to let you know why it didn't work for me. Feedback is healthy, right?

Computers can be confusing at times, and whatever you want to do with them they can answer back with messages that mean nothing to the user.

But there is usually a helpline or message board, like this one, with somebody willing to guide you through the process. There is also a great deal of documentation available if you prefer to sort things out for yourself. The thing with computers is not to run scared, they are only machines :).
