Hi, I am currently running version 4.13 of boinc with sah and cp. I've noticed that on the sah site the version of boinc to be downloaded is version 4.19. Is there a way to install and run the latest version without losing the work in progress I actually have? Thanks for any help. n.b.: I am running boinc on a pc(intel) with xp. |

Hello and welcome! > Links to Documents by Project or How > I found out all the Stuff I Needed to Know About BOINC As much as I agree with G Pascal O Cianaigh , PFC, I'll give you the short answer anyway: I had no problem with it (XP SP1&2 on AMT & Intel). First: exit Boinc, copy the directory anywhere else (just for sure, didn't need it myself afterwards). Second: install the new version. Third: run Boinc again. Fourth: nothing, sit back and relax:) Grüße vom Sänger |

Did the 4.13 -> 4.19 upgrade this morning, after the latest CP WU completed. Did the same four steps that the Sänger suggested, and succeeded with no problems. Both CP & S@H are running again smoothly. |

My previous experience with CPDN was upgrading v4.09 -> v4.13 and it coughed, spluttered and reset itself. S@H, PP@H and the rest seem to survive a minor CC upgrade OK, but my suggestion would be to wait until your current model has finished before upgrading the CC on your CPDN box. |

There should be a major upgrade in the next few weeks, though I don't think there is a date. |
