I seem to be having trouble with my profile (try clicking it). I put a couple of links to my website in there, but they revert to empty [a] tags once I've submitted.

I've stuck the links in brackets after where the tags should be, and you can test by clicking on the text before them, it turns blue when you click but goes nowhere.

When I come to edit my profile again I see for example

[a]amazing band[/a] (with angly brackets) rather than the [a href="http://blah"]amazing band[/a] that I typed in..

Other people can get this to work, so what is going (or I am doing) wrong?

ps. I noticed in editing this post that the same happens to me within posts... although my signature (which I set last week) works?

I've just added a link in my profile.

Entered it with angled brackets and the tags were stripped out, leaving the text between them. replaced them with {} and the whole lot appeared, changed back to angled brackets and, hey presto, it now works!

it must be something in the boinc parsing, I find I do {A HREF="http://"} (i.e. without quotation marks) and it seems to pick it up better.

Aah yes, writing [a href=http://url]text[/a] works, although if you come to edit your profile again you need to strip out the "s to stop it from gobbling up your links next time around!

I've tested this over at SETI's page and the same thing happens, are you in direct contact to pass this info on, or should I post in their forums? :o)
