Yes. It is recomended for this project that you back up the BOINC directory first though. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Hello David, I would not subscribe to John's suggestion without any caveat. An update from 4.1x to 4.19 is possible without a problem. Suspend and exit Boinc, save the directory (just for sure), install the new one and start again. Everything should be fine. (At least it was with me) <b><i>BUT...</b></i> If you are of the more adventurous type, and want to try the 'developers version' (4.6x), you have to uninstall boinc first. <b><i>Beware!</b></i> It's Beta testing, possible buggy, not for sissies like me ;-) Grüße vom Sänger |

Last time I did this (4.09 -> 4.13) CPDN coughed and I lost a model in phase two. I'm not going to do this one until my current model finishes in approx 5 days from now. Wait until your model has finished! <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=444&trans=off"> |
