I would try some MotherBoardMonitor at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ or Hot CPU Tester at http://www.7byte.com/index.php?page=hotcpu of CPUCool at http://www.cpufsb.de/index.html Some of this apps should work and show you temps. Also, some sw overheat protection should be provided by them... |

ive had it error at the same point too. it runs on a dell inspiron 1100 notebook with a celeron processor. but ive ran my diagonostics to seew what the fan speeds are and it never went into high speed so i dont think it was cpu overheat |

OK, I have 2 pcs, both DELL, a laptop and a desktop, crunching CPDN. I'll keep an eye on both of them to see if they get a "-5" error when this summer temperatures will go into the high 30s.
