For quite some time now, I have been experiencing crashes for unknown reasons in Climate Predictions. One such mention of this problem I posted at: . Subsequently, I decided to delete that offending work unit. Now the problem that I am experiencing surfaced. I have hyper-threading CPU. This originally downloaded and ran two climate prediction programs simultaneously. I also have Einstein and Seti loaded and sharing BOINC. Since the deletion of the one climate prediction's program, BOINC now runs only a single instance of Climate Predictions plus either an Einstein or a Seti program in conjunction with it. It will, however, run multiple Seti or Einstein programs simultaneously. Is there any way other than detaching from Climate Predictions and then reloading it to correct this phenomenon? Will I lose all of the accumulated credits that I have build up over the past months? Thanks for any assistance available. Gerard Seibert "Travel is very educational. You will not loose any credit but it should only download more than one CPDN model if your resource share is over 50%. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Running different projects on each CPU seems to make better use of the PC ressources though. My CPDN times are better now that I limited HD space for BOINC so that only one CPDN model fits in and using the other CPU for E@H or SETI. p.s.: something like CPDN=50,EAH=30,SAH=20 for example |
