Running the latest version of viz on Linux Fedora Core 3 I get:
[ojt@zappa climateprediction.net]$ ./viz
searching for active shmem

unable to attach to shared memory
./viz: line 2: 20699 Segmentation fault (core dumped) nice -n18 ./hadsm3viz_4.04* $1

I have obviously fixed the viz script to run v 4.04 instead of 4.03. I've also tried to run hadsm3viz_4.04_i686-pc-linux-gnu directly, but with same results. The program crashes right after drawing the window.
