Just upgraded from 4.13 to 4.19 and restarted BOINC however when it starts to try and process the CPDN work unit I get a message box titled Visual Fortran run-time-error containing the following: forrtl: severe(30): open failure, unit 6, file CONOUT$ Image PC Routine Line Source HADSM3UM_4.04_WIN 008C0547 Unknown Unknown Unknown HADSM3UM_4.04_WIN 008AA216 Unknown Unknown Unknown HADSM3UM_4.04_WIN 008A8F25 Unknown Unknown Unknown HADSM3UM_4.04_WIN 008A9450 Unknown Unknown Unknown HADSM3UM_4.04_WIN 0088E828 Unknown Unknown Unknown HADSM3UM_4.04_WIN 0040E10A Unknown Unknown Unknown KERNEL32.DLL BFF8B560 Unknown Unknown Unknown KERNEL32.DLL BFF8B412 Unknown Unknown Unknown KERNEL32.DLL BFF89DD5 Unknown Unknown Unknown Computer running this is W98 SP2 PIII 600Mhz I should point out that if I display the graphics for this work unit it does still appear to be progressing with its calculations - the model date and CPU time are still increasing. |

Welcome to the forum and the project, Andy. If you look at your Account page, then click on Result ID, you will see that the model has crashed, and that a new one has been started. I think the error applies to the 1st model, and the display to the new model. You'll know after the next trickle, if the model name changes on the Account page. I hate to say it, but your computer is not really up to the rigors of CPDN. It is below min. speed, and you really need 256M of memory to handle the operating system, the program, and the data. Some people ARE managing to complete a model with something similar, but a lot are simply crashing them. In very large numbers. Les |
