Is the server offline (the last 3 days) ? Or is it a problem with my PC (no proxy; P4 3.2 XP-SP2) |

Yes, one of the servers is down, and has been since last Thursday or Friday. There's a thread in the "Number Crunching" forum discussing it. So far there has been nothing forthcoming about the cause or the expected fix date. In fact, no comment from Oxford at all! Ian |

Is there more than one scheduler for the project? |

> My BOINC client seems to connect just fine. Is there more than one scheduler > for the project? I think there's one in Switzerland and two in Oxford, but I could well be wrong. I don't think there's a problem with trickles (if that's what you mean), just upoloading completed runs. Ian |

I notice your system sent a load of trickles up on Sunday (I count 38). Do you have more 'trickle*' files than that in your projects/climateprediction.net' directory? If so move some of them to a different directory, force a project update (which should get a response and remove the trickle files you didn't move). Then move the other trickle files back and do another update. I'd advise doing them in batches of no more than 30 trickles in each update. If that's the case have a look at this thread and post a message supporting my findings ;) "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

Today I counted 48 trickles, made 2 batches (30/18) - and the problem was solved !!! Is the limit 30 or 40 ? |

Glad I was able to help, peterfilla :) > Is the limit 30 or 40 ? It seems to vary. I got 40 through last week, 39 yesterday and you'd 38 on Sunday. Because of the variation I'd guess that it's caused by something timing out at the server end (probably database inserts). Thanx for the tip... |
